The Great State of Ohio
Ohio is a state full of history, beautiful sunsets, great fishing/hunting and unique places to visit. This is also what about 11.54 million people call home. Ohio was announced the 17th state on March 1, 1803.We have 44,828 square miles of mostly farmland but,we also have some large cities such as Cincinnati,Cleveland and Toledo. One fun place to visit is George Rogers Clark Park.On Labor Day weekend they have what is called The Fair at New Boston. There are Indians, old fashioned candy, people making and selling their goods. The Indians have bark huts they live in and when they leave the park keeps up the huts for a while (you can see some in the pictures). Another fun place to go is Young's Jersey Dairy. It's a dairy that works year around and has great donuts and ice cream. It also has a mini petting zoo, batting cages, mini golf and a corn maze they make for the fall. Ohio's Lake Erie is is also a fun place to visit. You'll have good luck fishing here as it has been named The Walleye Capitol of the World. If you're into hunting, like me, you can find some good spring turkey up in northeastern and southern Ohio. Ohio is a great place to do lots of things so go out and have fun.
